

She was born April 14, 1921, in Lowell, Vermont, the daughter of Robert and Mary Ester (Kidder) Farman. The family moved to Charlestown in 1923 and Mary attended local schools there. She went on to attend Keene Teachers College. After graduation she went to work for schools in West Swanzey and also for Symonds School in Keene. In 1944 she married her husband, Richard J. Bergeron, and the two of them lived in Keene.
Mary loved her family and friends very much and she enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed spending time reading: her favorite book was “Family Life on the Farm”, writing in a journal, playing cards, and working puzzles and crosswords.
She is survived by her sister: Jeannette Farman Reynolds of Keene, NH and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She is predeceased by her husband, sister: Elizabeth Eroe Colburn and two brothers: Miller Farman and Freeman Kidder Farman.
A Graveside service will be held in the St. Joseph Cemetery, on Main Street in Keene, NH, on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 2pm. There will be no calling hours.
