Mary Jill Hicks

Mary J. Hicks (Cristiano), 56, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon NH, after a short illness. She was the wife of Jonathan R. Hicks with whom she shared 28 years of marriage.

Born in Keene, NH, she was the daughter of Phillip and Cecily Rogers, and step-daughter of Joseph T. Cristiano. She attended Keene High School and Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School.

She was an active member of the Stoddard Congregational Church for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs, shopping, and getting together with family and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness toward others, her helpfulness to others at a moment’s notice, and her love of social conversations with everyone she met.

She is survived by her husband, Jonathan R. Hicks of Stoddard, NH; her daughter Pauline R. Hicks of Hillsborough, NH; and her siblings Ann J. Gagne of Keene, NH; Joseph T. Cristiano, Jr. of Campton, NH; John F. Cristiano of Soldotna, AK; Jennifer L. Cristiano of Keystone Heights, FL; Jill A. Beam of Stoddard, NH; Caroline R. Thayer of Marlow, NH; and Christopher J. Cristiano of Keene, NH. She was predeceased by her parents and stepfather. She especially loved her grandmother Mary E. Carrick and her grandparents Carl and Muriel Rogers.

The memorial service will be held at 11am, Saturday, January 28th, at the Stoddard Congregational Church, Rte. 123, Stoddard, NH, with a reception to follow. All are invited to attend.
