She was born on November 18, 1927 in Springfield, MA to Marguerite (Murphy) and Everett Walsh. She attended Cathedral High School in Springfield where she met her future and dear husband, Roy A. Sunter. They were married in 1949 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Springfield, and remained in holy matrimony until his death from cancer in 1988.
Mary is survived by their children, Roy A. Sunter, Jr. of Fitzwilliam, NH, Karen Mercier and her husband Curtis of Athol, MA, Brian Sunter and his wife, Joann (Cardozo) Sunter, of Londonderry, NH; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A brother, Robert Walsh, Ann (Walsh) Drost, both of Springfield, and Everett "Wick" Walsh of South Hadley, MA, predeceased her.
Services and burial in the North Cemetery, Westmoreland, were held privately by the family.
