Maureen Lois Hardy

She was born on May 6, 1932, in Chelmsford, MA, the daughter of Alfred J. and Louise (McKennedy) Bishop. She graduated from Chelmsford High School and went on to graduate from Boston College.

She married David Hardy in Chelmsford in June of 1961.

Mrs. Hardy worked as Director of Nursing for 25 years at the Beverly Hospital in MA. She then worked for three years in the same role at the Athol Hospital in MA. From there, she worked as the Director of Quality Control with Home Healthcare in Keene, until she retired.

She, and her husband David, enjoyed many years of traveling in their travel trailers, visiting places including New York, Vermont, Maine and Canada seeing things of the past and present. They also enjoyed looking for interesting rocks and fossils. She very much enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Hardy is survived by her husband of 54 years, David Hardy of Swanzey; her brother Henry Bishop of Spokane, WA; and four nieces and one nephew.

A Liturgy of the Word will be held for Mrs. Hardy on Friday, August 7, 2015, 10:00 AM, at Fletcher Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 33 Marlboro St., Keene, NH. A private family burial will follow in Chelmsford, MA.
