Maureen E. Wells

She was born in Manhattan, New York, on June 15, 1952, the daughter of David S. and Marjorie (Egan) McCarthy.

She grew up in Carmel, NY and was a graduate of Carmel High School. She moved to Keene in 1986.

Over the course of her life Maureen was a devoted wife, mother and daughter. She was an active member of her community, serving the Keene School District Food Service Department for 18 years, and was a parishioner of St. Bernard's Catholic Church for 30 years.

Anyone that met her said she was a very special woman, and has touched countless lives over her years. She will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, David E. Wells of Keene; her daughter Meghan Wells Fournier and husband, Nate, of Hillsboro, NH; her daughter Rebecca A. Yeh and husband, Kyle, of Fairfax, VA; her father David S. McCarthy of Keene; her sister Ellen P. Fowler and her husband, Jon, of Simsbury, CT; her brother Steven D. McCarthy of Rouge River, OR; and many other nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 12:00PM in St. Margaret Mary Church, 33 Arch Street, Keene. All are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Maureen's name to the ALS Association, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 6051, Albert Lea, MN 56007, so that other families may find relief from this horrible disease.
