Born on May 23, 1946, to Bruce and Esther (Cole) Allard, Maxine was one of eight children. Maxine always told wonderful stories of her parents and siblings.
Early in her life, Maxine had three beautiful children of her own, Elroy Jr., Traci and Christopher Truell, whom she loved very much.
In 2016 she married the love of her life, Carlene Roy, they lived 37 wonderful years together. Sadly, Carlene passed away a year ago.
Maxine was such a light in people’s lives. She was kind and compassionate, she was giving and selfless. Maxine put everyone before herself. Caring for the sick or bringing things to the needy even if she had to spend her last dime doing it. Her favorite thing to do was cook, she was an amazing cook. She could cook for the entire neighborhood without batting an eye. We all always gathered at her house for holidays or just family dinner, that was when she was at her happiest, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Maxine loved dancing to country music, sitting on the beach enjoying the ocean, she loved fishing and making crafts. She was also a very talented artist who loved to draw.
Maxine left a legacy of love and perseverance that will remain with her family and friends, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
We would like to make a special mention to Elaine Noyes, Maxine’s close friend who took care of all her daily needs and was there as a friend to watch over her. We thank you dearly.
Maxine will be very deeply missed by her son Christopher Truell and his wife Tracy; daughter Traci Nelson; grandchildren Christopher and Caitlin Truell, Travis, Ronald and Christal Truell, Paige Nelson, Dakota, Logan and Alexis Curtis; her siblings Harvey Cutts and wife Joan, Tony Allard and wife Karen, Martha Soper; and many extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Maxine was predeceased by her loving wife Carlene; son Elroy Jr.; brothers Bruce Cutts and his wife Barbara, Jimmy Allard; and sisters Christine Patterson and Sandra Temple.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00am at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 33 Marlboro Street, Keene, NH, with a memorial gathering directly afterwards. We invite all who knew and loved Maxine to join us in honoring her memory.
