He was born January 28, 1966 in Keene, NH the son of Richard W. Clapp, Sr and Leona (Amsden) Bartlett. He was a 1984 graduate of Thayer High School. He worked for various businesses across the Monadnock region, including Haulage, out of Brattleboro. He was a long-time member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Keene, the Elks and the Italian Club.
Through his membership with the Eagle’s he was able to help reach out to those in the community who needed compassion and a helping hand. He also enjoyed being able to spend time with his many friends through these organizations: playing a round of pool or a hand of poker.
Punky was a devoted Father and an avid animal lover. He loved spending time with his children. He also held a special place in his heart, especially for dogs.
He is survived by his children, Kacy and Karly Clapp; his sister, Lisa Clapp; his step-son, Dakota Mitchell, his half-sister, Amanda Prive; his companion, Felicia Bagster and his ex-wife, Jennifer Clapp and her family.
A Celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019, from 4 to 6pm at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court St. Keene, NH.
