Richard (Dick) A. Hurst, 82, died peacefully on April 16, 2022, surrounded by his children. Dick was a life long resident of the Monadnock area, born and grew up in Troy, and lived in Keene, Swanzey, and Surry.
Dick served in the US Army from 1959 to 1961. He was employed as a machinist at Central Screw Co in Keene, and retired from Keene School District in 2008 after more than 20 years as Custodian at Keene High School. Dick was diagnosed with Dementia in 2015.
Dick is survived by his three children, Nicole Hurst of Swanzey, Daniel Hurst and Susan Hurst, both of Surry, a grandson, two sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Dick’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services at this time. Dick will be buried in the family lot at the Monadnock View Cemetary, Keene NH with a private memorial at a later date.
