Richard A. Lahue, Jr., “Rick”, 62, a resident of North Swanzey, NH passed away at the Cheshire Medical Center, Keene, NH on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, surrounded by the love and support of his family.

He was born June 15, 1956 in Pittsfield, MA the son of Richard A. and Rose I (Bordeleau) Lahue, Sr. After graduating from High School he went on to proudly serve our Nation as a member of the United States Navy.

For several years he worked for Rockwell Corporation, under the Rockadyne Division. He worked with the Aerospace Department, which was something that he was very proud of. Later he also worked for Markem Corp in Keene and for the NH State Liquor Store on Route 12 in North Swanzey.

On April 29, 2006 he married the love of his life: Donna Hartwell.

Rick loved being with his friends and family. Each year he threw a Memorial Day Weekend Party to celebrate the beginning of summer. The party was a great time for everyone to get together and there was always good conversation and excellent food. Rick also held a very special place in his heart for animals and he almost always shared his home with four-legged companions. He also enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles and classic cars. He was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Hartwell of North Swanzey; his brother, Glenn Lahue and his wife Cher of Hinsdale, NH and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. He also leaves behind his dog, Foolish and his cat, Tazzy. He is predeceased by his parents.

Rick’s family will remember him in private services later this spring. There will be no public calling hours.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Monadnock Humane Society, 101 West Swanzey Rd, Swanzey, NH. 03446 or to the Kingsbury Center for Cancer Care, 580 Court St. Keene, NH. 03431.
