

He was born in Keene, NH on May 16, 1937 the son of Lorenzo and Evelyn (Bergeron) Metivier. Bob was a lifelong resident of Keene, attended Keene Schools and was a 1956 graduate of Keene High School. Following high school he attended DeVry University in Chicago, IL.
He had a passion for electronics and was an electronics and computer specialist. He was a former co-owner of Sound Power on Winchester Street in Keene. He was also employed by MPB and Radio Shack.
He was an active and life member of the Keene Lodge of Elks # 927. He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes and helicopters. He also enjoyed traveling, going to the ocean, fishing, swimming, boating, and scuba diving. He was a former member of the local rescue dive team.
He is survived by his daughter; Lee Metivier of Chesterfield, NH; two sons; Timothy Metivier and his wife Maureen of Keene, NH and Michael Metivier and his wife Melissa of Chesterfield, NH; a brother, Dr. Donald Metivier and his wife Jacqueline of Keene, NH; three grandchildren; Emily Metivier, Molly Metivier, and Miranda Metivier; two nephews; Jeff Metivier and Todd Metivier both of New Hampshire, his fiancé Rachel C. Elkins of North Swanzey, NH; his daughter Melanie Perkins and her husband Bob and grandchildren Adam Perkins and Ryan Perkins of Homewood IL; many cousins. He was pre deceased by his parents and his sister; Luane Metivier in 1969, his wife Sandra in 2007 and a grandson Craig Metivier.
A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Papagallos Restaurant, 9 Monadnock Highway, Swanzey, NH. There are no public visiting hours. Private burial will take place at the North Cemetery, Westmoreland, NH.
