
She was born in Union, ME, on September 6, 1924, daughter of the late Flora (Linscott) and LeRoy Turner. She attended area schools and loved growing up at the family farm and being a country girl.
Ruth married the love of her life, Robert James Worcester. Together they spent many wonderful years raising their family and enjoying the life they had built until his passing in 2001.
Ruth had was a collector of salt and peppershakers and had an extensive button collection with which she crafted beautiful mosaics. She always had a garden to tend to throughout her life. She also enjoyed cooking, quilt making, playing card games, and caring for her home and family. She had belonged the Grange in both Maine and New Hampshire.
Ruth will be dearly missed by her children: Rex Worcester and his wife Marilyn of Winchester, NH, Dana Worcester of Milford, NH, Norman Worcester and his wife Priscilla of Summerfield, FL, and Carl Worcester and his wife Pamela of Greenville, NH; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; sister: Janet Blood of Morrill, ME; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her siblings: Ronald Turner, Maude Ghent, Elmer Turner, Adrian Turner, and Erwin Turner.
In keeping with Ruth’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
