Her parents, Ernest and Agnes (Patterson) Champagne welcomed their daughter into the world on February 7, 1943, in Keene, NH. She grew up in Keene attending local schools and was a 1961 graduate of Keene High School.
Susan enjoyed her role as a homemaker and raising her family. With her children in school, Susan began working with Mary Kay where her passion for helping women prioritize family while pursuing a career led her to become a Senior Sales Director. Later, Susan found a new passion helping women improve their fitness working in several Curves Fitness facilities.
Susan resided in Spofford for many years before making her home in the summers on Squam Lake in Ashland, a place that brought her great solace. She enjoyed watching the loons, boating to the various islands, and enjoying the company of friends and family. She wintered in Vero Beach, FL where she enjoyed a warm pool, the beach, moon rises over the ocean and sunsets across the inland waterway as well as watching the rocket launches over the Atlantic.
Susan always made time for friends, whether at the pool in Florida, over a game of cards at the lake, doing crafts, or over a special meal. She traveled to connect with friends from high school, took day trips in a convertible to visit covered bridges, attended high school reunions and more to show her love of her friends. Her greatest joy was the special times creating wonderful memories with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by many, especially her two children, Philip S. Latvis, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Enfield, NH, Leah L. Walsh and her husband Steven, of Keene, NH; her grandchildren, Samantha Bailey and her husband Samuel, Matthew Latvis, Jennifer Ramirez and her husband Sebastian, Elizabeth Walsh, Joseph Walsh and his partner, MacKenzie Rokes; her great-grandchildren, Lena June Bailey and Camila Maria Ramirez; her brother, Leroy Champagne and his wife Beverly, of Auburn, NY; her lifelong friend, Philip S.
