
She was born in Richmond Hill, Long Island, NY on October 28, 1916, the daughter of Olaf and Theresa (Ogreid) Simonsen.
Following graduation from high school, she attended secretarial school for two years, and then went to work with United Airlines in Manhattan.
In June of 1944, she enlisted in the Army Air Force WAC to help out with the war efforts. She served until January 1946, earning the rank of Sergeant and was the recipient of the American Service Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
In 1948, she married Charles B. Beauregard and joined him in his hometown of Marlborough where she has resided for over sixty years.
Mrs. Beauregard worked for a brief time with the National Grange Mutual Insurance Company and then later for six years with Economy Plumbing and Heating Company, both of Keene, NH. When not working, Mrs. Beauregard cherished the time spent with her family.
She is survived by her two sons, Peter Beauregard and his wife, Jane, of Marlborough, John C. Beauregard of Glastonbury, CT; two grandchildren, Lisa Moran of Marlborough, David Beauregard of Swanzey; a great-granddaughter, Aoife Moran of Marlborough; two nieces, Myra Rybarczyk of New City, NY, Ingrid Denoia of Plymouth, MA; and a nephew, Kenneth Jungberg of New City. She was predeceased by her husband of forty-six years, Charles B. Beauregard in 1994, and a sister, Ruth Jungberg in 1982.
Private graveside services with military honors will be held in the spring in the Meeting House Hill Cemetery, Marlborough.
