Her parents Elmer and Annie (Miller) Stinson welcomed their daughter into the world on March 30, 1941, in Keene. She attended local schools and was a 1959 graduate of Keene High School. She attended Northampton Commercial College graduating in 1961 with a degree in secretarial studies.
Thelma was well known in the community for her open arms and compassionate care for countless children over the years. Many stayed in touch long after they were grown, and some were by her side in her final days, providing the same love and support she had given them.
Thelma shared her love and care as a girl scout leader and a Sunday school teacher at the United Church of Christ in Keene. She was an enthusiastic reader and loved crocheting and baking—her crescent rolls were legendary. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and taking daily walks, something she continued to do until recent years. She loved feeling the wind in her face while enjoying Sunday drives and trips to Maine.
In addition to the many children whom she loved over the years and who warmly referred to her as "Auntie", Thelma will be greatly missed by her husband of 61 years, Mark Belluscio of Keene; her son Stephen Belluscio and his wife Susan of Colorado Springs, CO; her daughters Holly Belluscio of Steamboat, CO, Larisa Belluscio of Nelson, NH; her granddaughter, Josie Belluscio of Phoenix, AZ; her sisters, Marilyn Patnode and her husband Ronald of Zephyrhills, FL, Jane Hutchins of Keene, Sharon Mauch and her husband Keith of Lemar, CO; her brother Robert Stinson of Zephyrhills; her sister- and brother-in-law, Sally and David Belluscio of Lempster, NH; and her many nieces and nephews. Her brothers, Elmer Stinson, Jr., Richard Stinson, Kenneth Stinson, William Stinson, John Stinson, and a sister, Anna MacKenzie, predeceased her.
A visitation for Thelma will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene. All are welcome. A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Belluscio’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association Mass and NH Chapter, 320 Nevada Street, Suite 201, Newton, MA 02460.
