Her parents, Roy B. and Shirley (Curtis) Heise welcomed their daughter into the world on October 27, 1952, in West Palm Beach, FL. Theo grew up in Richmond, NH and was a 1970 graduate of Keene High School.
While growing up, Theo cherished her summers at the Shir-Roy Campground in Richmond that her parents owned and operated.
Theo worked as a mortgage loan officer with Peoples United Bank here in Keene, for over 30 years. This role afforded Theo the opportunity to meet and help so many within our community over the years.
Family meant the world to Theo, especially the many wonderful memories created with her two grandchildren. She had a special love of the beaches in Maine, and the memories were more special when she was with her family.
She will be greatly missed by many in our community, but especially by her husband of 35 years, Howard D. Bassett of Keene; her daughter, Megan Kondrat of West Chesterfield, NH; her two grandchildren, Tate and Blake Kondrat; a brother, Blair Heise and his wife, Jennifer, of Richmond; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. A sister, Meredith Bailey, predeceased Theo.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday evening, December 19, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 33 Marlboro Street, Keene. A funeral service will be held at the Fletcher Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 20th at 10:30am, with a celebration of Theo’s life continuing at the funeral home until 12:30PM.
In lieu of flowers for those who wish, donations may be made in Mrs. Bassett’s memory to Hospice of HCS, c/o Home Healthcare Hospice and Community Services, PO Box 564, Keene, NH 03431.
