Tom was a man that would do anything for a friend. I feel humble to have know such a man.

My grandfather was the coolest, most amazing person in the world  I enjoyed the boat rides during the summer and going to Pittsburgh and snowmobiling. My grandfather was the sweetest person  and he will forever be in my heart . My condolences to my grandmother who lost a very special man.

We will always always remember Tom. He was a wonderful man & great friend to us. Herb & I rented our 1st apartment from him on Marlborough  Street & stayed there for 10 years until we bought our first home. He will forever be in our prayers.

I was very saddened to read of Tommy's passing.  I met Tommy while working with his wife Nancy many years ago.  He was  always very helpful and kind; and he  would brighten our office with his beautiful "peonies" flowers.  It was a pleasure to know him. I would like to extend my deepest condolences to Nancy and his family.

Our condolences to the family. We got our oil and servicing from Ted and Tom from 1988 when we moved here until they retired. They were the quintessential example of why people want to use local businesses and stores. They came multiple times in emergencies of different kinds, including the furnace breaking in the middle of the winter and another emergency two hours before we left on a family vacation. We missed seeing them once they retired.

Janet and I would like to extended our prayers to the entire Chabott family on the loss of Tom .  I got to know Tom, Ted and Dan while calling on their heating business for WKBK radio in the 1980's through the mid 2000's.   I found them to be a Great,   hardworking  family owned business, which provided us with top notch heating services during our over 30 year stay in Keene.    Tom will be missed by many .

We are shocked and saddened to hear of Tom's death. His friendly and generous ways will never be forgotten.  It was always a pleasure to see him. Our hearts go out to Nancy, the children and the entire family.  May good memories comfort you. 

I've known Tom my whole life and had many ADVENTURES with him in our younger days in the neighborhood. He was hell on wheels.
I also worked with Tom and Ted in the coal yard and doing coal deliveries part time. Tom was always willing to stop and chat. Always friendly and outgoing. Always had a story to tell.
I have a lot of good memories.


I am very  sad to hear that Tom passed away.  I am sorry to say I have not seen Tom for 7 years since I retired and left the area.   Tom gave me the privilege of handling his and Ted’s business insurance for 20 years.  He was very fair and honest and a true gentleman.  Tom  is going to be missed by so many people in Cheshire County.  I am so sorry for your loss Nancy & Ted.  Rick Waldo  - FL/CT

Tom was the best neighbor anyone could hope for. Always friendly, stopped to chat often and was very kind to our dog as well. 
Tom would help you or offer to loan you any equipment he had without hesitation.  We will miss him very much.

This was all very sudden and shocking  for us as we have been away for over a month and talked to Tom before we left with no indication of any health issues.
