Victoria Christina Funchess

Victoria C. Funchess was the daughter of Inez and James Carter. She was born and raised in New Jersey and resided in Brattleboro, VT for some time. Her life ended in Keene, NH early on the morning of December 18, 2021.

Victoria was a very hard worker at Price Chopper for many years in Brattleboro, VT, and also at Country Kitchen Thrift Store for some time.

She leaves behind her husband, of nearly 39 years, Willie M. Funchess. She was a loving mother to her son Isaac Carter, son Jacob Carter, daughter Jacobina Carter, and son Jerome Carter.

Her 73-year legacy leaves behind prince and princesses, who are her 15 grandchildren: Candice, Leah, Mercedes, Ashley, Isaac, Julian, Lamar and Xavier Carter, Kanisha Trowell, Zynay Thomas, Sean Simeon, and five additional grandchildren; six great grandchildren: Amari Clement, Jaxon Payton Reed, and Avaya Coulombe; and nephews: Andre and Shawn Jones.

Victoria lived a full life and enjoyed and loved everyone she encountered along the way. To all those who knew her, remember the good times with her. To all of the “grandchildren” she adopted along her path, she loves you all deeply.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Winston Prouty Center, 209 Austine Drive, Brattleboro, VT.
