He was born in Brockton, MA, on June 8, 1930, son of the late Claude and Mildred (Jensen) Phelps.
Following school, Warren served in the United States Army during World War II and received an honorable discharge in 1954.
Warren had been a longtime employee of the Kingsbury Corporation in Keene, from which he retired.
His favorite pastimes included hiking up Mount Monadnock, hunting, fishing, flying airplanes and photography, which he was incredibly talented at.
Warren leaves behind his step-daughter, Kathleen Barrett of Florida, step-son Steven J. Patterson, Sr. and his wife Sheran A. Patterson of Spofford, NH, and several step-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife Charlotte (McClure) Phelps, and many family members.
A graveside service with military honors will be held in the spring at the Conant Cemetery in Jaffrey, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to be made in Warren J. Phelps’ name to a charity of one’s choice.
