He was born in Ludlow, VT on January 6, 1926, the son of Maynard S. and Nellie (Goodrich) Fuller. His family moved to Stoddard when he was younger and he attended school there. He lived in the area for his whole life.
In 1949, he married Carrie (Rockwell) in Keene.
He worked as a self-employed carpenter, for the Highway Department and also delivered trout for the hatchery in Richmond. He last worked for National Grange Mutual as the manager of their maintenance department.
Mr. Fuller is remembered as a “jack of all trades”. He enjoyed nature, often going for walks in the woods and hunting and fishing. Earlier in his life, he secured his pilot’s license and would take people for flights over the area, especially Stoddard.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carrie Fuller of Keene; his daughter Sandra Hayes of NY; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and his cousin Norma Schnyer of GA; and good friends Steve and Diana Rokes of Stoddard. His son Terry Fuller and brothers Paul Smart and Richard Fuller died earlier.
Services for Mr. Fuller will be private. Fletcher Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 33 Marlboro St., Keene, NH has been entrusted with the arrangements. (www.fletcherfuneralhome.com)
The family asks that donations be made in Wayne S. Fuller’s name to any children’s charity.
