

William "Bill" Frank Jackson Sr., 78, of Swanzey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 19th. Born on December 11, 1947, in Brattleboro, Vermont, he was the son of Winfred Jackson and Deborah (Luce) Jackson. Bill was a man of deep character, abiding love for his family, and a lifelong passion for the great outdoors.
Raised in Winchester, Bill built a life defined by hard work and a devotion to his family. He was the proud owner of WF Jackson Trucking.
Bill was a dedicated Hunter Safety Instructor and served as a Junior Rifle Coach at the Winchester Sportsman Club for over 40 years, with his longtime friend Ralph Greggory, leaving an enduring mark on generations of young shooters. He was also a proud member of the Connecticut River Sportsmen Club, where he shared his love of the outdoors with fellow sportsmen.
After retiring from Markem-Imaje in 2015 he cherished his time spent with family and friends riding four wheelers, shooting at the range and occasionally gambling at the casino.
Bill is survived by his wife of 25 years Gretchen Jackson children: Bill Jr., Michael and his wife Leslie, Taylor and her boyfriend Gavin Britt; his grandchildren: Zachary, Olivia; and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Winfred Jackson and Deborah (Luce) Jackson; and his siblings Violet Jackson Brewer; and Fred W. Jackson.
Bill Jackson was one of a kind. He was a mentor, a sportsman, a businessman, and a devoted family man. His warm spirit, generous heart, and love of life will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed.
