Alphonso Edward Harley, 70, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022. He was born May 12,1952 in New York City to the late Reuben Harley and Lena Harley Hodge. He graduated from Samuel Gompers High School in The Bronx, NY.
Harley was a U.S Army veteran. While serving at Fort Bliss, TX Harley met the love of his life Mamie.
While living in El Paso, Harley worked for the City of El Paso and The International Boundary and Water Commission. Harley then moved to Fort Worth, Texas where he worked for the City of Fort Worth and then retired from the United States Postal Service on December 31, 2012.
Harley loved and believed in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was the best husband, daddy, papa, brother, uncle, son and brother in law anyone could ask for. Harley and Mamie enjoyed taking road trips together and visiting casinos. Harley always supported his Dallas Cowboys. Harley enjoyed talking to people, and people enjoyed talking to him. He was the best handyman anyone could ask for.
Harley is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mamie Harley, two daughters, Dana Boyd (James) of El Paso, Texas, and Nicole Harley Fort Worth,Texas: two grandchildren whom he loved dearly James (Bink) Boyd, and Janelle (Janellie) Boyd. Harley leaves one brother and three sisters whom he loved; Alfred Harley of NYC, Gloria Harley of NYC, Sharon Malloy of NYC, and Pamela Morgan of Richmond, VA. Harley was preceded in death by his father Reuben, his mother Lena Harley Hodge, and his sister Sherene Mann. He leaves a host of uncles, aunts,nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, and friends who will continue to cherish his memory.
God saw the road was getting rough,

A celebration of life for Alphonso will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Keller's Old Town Funeral Home. Following the celebration of life will be a committal service at 1:15 PM at Dallas Ft Worth National Cemetery.
