

Billy Charles Renshaw, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on June 2, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to all who knew him.
Billy was born on December 9, 1954, in Dallas, Texas. He was a proud graduate of Mineola High School. He later met the love of his life, Cynthia Fitzgerald Renshaw, and they were married in February 1976. Together they shared an adventurous spirit and a love of travel, sports, and family. Their enthusiasm for sports became a cherished family tradition that they proudly passed on to their children.
Known for his friendly nature, dad jokes, encouraging spirit, and dedication to everything he pursued, Billy had a remarkable ability to connect with people and make them feel welcome. Throughout his career, he formed lasting friendships while working at Central Freight Line, American Airlines, and Simplex-Grinnell. He also became well known throughout the Metroplex as a football and volleyball referee as well as the clock official for multiple teams, a role that allowed him to combine his love of sports with his commitment to serving others.
Billy's greatest joy in life was his family. He was deeply proud of his children's and grandchildren's accomplishments and loved to support and encourage them. Whether attending games and events, enjoying family game nights, or simply spending time with his grandchildren, he treasured every moment together.
He was passionate about family, sports, and reading. Those who knew him will remember his warmth, kindness, and genuine interest in others. His legacy of love, encouragement, and dedication will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.
Billy is survived by his daughter, Nichole Joy Gilley and husband Larry; son, Bryan Ray Renshaw and wife Sarah; son, Joshua Matthew Renshaw; grandchildren, Trevor Gilley and wife Katy, Brett Gilley, James Renshaw, Callie Renshaw, Abby Renshaw, and Lexi Renshaw; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends, including Christopher Renshaw and Gary Smith.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cynthia "Cindy" Renshaw; his brother, Bobby Renshaw; and his mother Kathleen Smith. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on June 19, 2026, at Old Town Funeral Home in Keller, Texas. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Billy's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. His kindness, devotion to family, and unwavering support of others will never be forgotten.
