Carol Ann Munson

Carol Munson, of Keller, Texas, passed away on December 30 in Grapevine, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all that knew and loved her. She was born on July 19, 1945, in El Paso, Texas to Jack and Hope Barbour. Carol was a wonderful homemaker and lover of the Lord Jesus Christ so her greatest desire and continuous prayers for her children, friends and family was that they would come into real relationship with God through his Son, Christ Jesus. Her favorite scripture in that regard was John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Carol is survived by her husband, Herbert Munson of Keller, Texas; two brothers and a sister, Pat and Mike Barbour, sister-in-law Sharon Barbour and Jane Rosenberg of Whidbey Island, Washington. She is also survived by daughter and son-in-law, Tim and Jeanne Adams of Keller, Texas; daughter and son-in-law Dennis and Patricia Chamberlain of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter Deborah Cardenas of Las Cruces, New Mexico; Son and daughter-in-law David and Suzette Munson of Azle, Texas and son and daughter-in-law Jonathan and Janelle Munson of Fort Worth, Texas. She proudly has sixteen grandchildren (10 girls and 6 boys), and eight great-grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by a brother, John Barbour, killed in action in the Vietnam war and parents, Jack and Hope Barbour.

The Funeral Service will be held at 1 o’clock on Saturday, January 11, at Hillside Community Church, 9915 Ray White Rd, Keller, TX 76244. Interment will follow in Bourland Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Tim and Jeanne Adams home at 910 Mount Gilead Road, Keller, Texas 76248.
