Carol was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on September 4, 1943, to Betty and Warren Hamilton. She was an only child who lived a very happy life. She attended grade school and high school in Euclid, Ohio, and married her high school sweetheart, Richard Sherman.
Richard was an engineer and Carol, a housewife. They were blessed with three lovely daughters: Kim, Holly, and Corey.
As time went by, Carol and her family moved to Fremont, California. Carol was a big sports fan and loved baseball and football. The family would go to the Oakland A's baseball games, and she would watch her favorite football team, the Cleveland Browns, on television. The family also enjoyed visiting San Francisco's Pier 39, where there were many shops, boating activities, and a clear view of Alcatraz.
Carol was also active in her church, teaching the Missionettes and various other duties and activities as she served the Lord.
With her passing, Carol is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard Sherman; her daughters Kim (Bret), Holly (Dirk), and Corey; and her five grandchildren: Sarah, Kyle, Lexi, Jordan, and Joshua.
Carol will be missed by her family, friends, church members, and neighbors, who will remember her as a devoted wife and a loving mother with a kind heart and a blessed spirit.
May she rest in peace.
