Cheryl Ives Dunham, 64, passed peacefully at home in Keller, Texas, on October 9, 2026, after a courageous 15-month battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive brain tumor. Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Cheryl moved to Keller in 1992, where she built a beautiful life centered on faith and family.
Cheryl graduated from Oklahoma State University, where she met her husband, Mark. They shared 42 wonderful years of marriage. Early in her career, Cheryl worked for her parents’ sheet metal company before stepping away to raise her two daughters. When her girls were older, she followed her passion for education and became a teacher in Keller ISD, where she devoted 26 years to helping students with learning disabilities and students from another country who were new to speaking English. She retired shortly before her cancer diagnosis.
Cheryl’s Christian faith was central to her life. She and Mark became members of Fellowship of the Parks Church in 1995 and were blessed to call FOTP their church home for more than 30 years. Her faith guided the way she loved her family, served others, and lived each day with grace and compassion.
Cheryl treasured time with her family and had a gift for making every occasion special. She loved to travel and brought joy to every holiday. Above all, she cherished her roles as a wife, mother, and Grammy. The love she shared and the memories she created with her family will remain treasured forever.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Darlene Ives. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Mark Dunham; her daughters, Kara and Kristen; her sons-in-law, William and Patrick; and her seven beloved grandchildren, Emilia, Derek, Connor, Brandon, James, Blaire, and Jeremy.
Cheryl leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
