Conrad Oliver Wolz

Conrad Wolz, 81, passed away peacefully at home in Texas with his family by his side on August 17, 2026. Born on September 7, 1944, Conrad lived a life defined by devotion—to his family, his community, and the people he loved most.

He was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and beloved wife, Frances Lorraine, and their infant daughter, Lori. Their memory remained a guiding light throughout his life.

Conrad is survived by his children Eric Wolz (Lisa) and Jennifer Himes (Chris), who will forever carry forward his strength, humor, and steady love. Conrad’s greatest joy came from being “Papa” to his grandchildren—Jerica (Josh), Chelsey, Allison (James), and his favorite grandson, Matthew—and his great-granddaughter Lillian. He never missed a game, a recital, or a moment to cheer them on. With a camera always in hand, he captured not just action shots, but the spirit and pride he felt watching them grow. Conrad also leaves behind his loving sister, Louise (Joe). Louise sent him a card or a short note every week reminding him fondly of their childhood together.

A hard worker throughout his life, Conrad dedicated countless hours to serving his community—first in Johnstown, where he built deep roots, and later in Texas, where he continued to give his time, energy, and heart. His quiet generosity and willingness to help others made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Conrad will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, his gentle humor, and the way he showed up—fully, consistently, and lovingly—for his family. His legacy lives on in the memories he created and the lives he shaped. We love your guts, Dad!
