

Dana Abert, of North Richland Hills, Texas, passed away on April 22nd in Bedford, Texas. She will always be remembered for her endless optimism and the genuine love and support she had for her family and friends. She was born on March 17, 1952 in Syracuse, New York to Graham Shipton and Dorothy (Dot) Shipton. Dana was married to Art Abert on February 17, 1979 in Dallas, Texas and together they were blessed with two children, Adam and Allison. Dana had fulfilling careers in both the Saint John the Apostle Child Care program and the Financial Aid Office at Tarrant County College. Throughout these years, she forged lifelong friendships that she truly cherished her entire life. Dana navigated life's ups and downs with grace and toughness, always putting her friends and family before herself. Dana had a passion for a good book and enjoyed savoring a few glasses of Chardonnay (or Jameson) with her favorite people (especially her sister), a pleasure that reflected her Irish roots. She is greatly missed.
Dana is survived by her husband, Art Abert of North Richland Hills, Texas, her children, Adam Abert (and wife, Alisia), of Keller Texas, and Allison Pafford (and husband, Kyle), of Fort Worth, Texas, grandchildren, Brady Abert of Keller, Texas, Caleb Abert of Keller, Texas, Jordan Gray of Keller, Texas, and Reagan Pafford of Fort Worth, Texas, her sister, Jody Rao of Syracuse, New York, and nephews, Brian and Dan Rao, of Syracuse, New York. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on May 9th at Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church located at 2016 Willis Lane, Keller, Texas 76248. A reception will follow in the Elizabeth Ann Seaton parish hall (adjacent to church).
