Dana was a woman whose life was a testament to love, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to her family. She had built a life rich in meaningful connections and quiet accomplishments, centered always on the well-being and happiness of those she held dear. Her roots ran deep in the community she called home, and she carried with her the resilience and spirit of the Lone Star State, evident in her approach to both personal and professional endeavors. At Conestoga Energy, she was not just an employee but a vital part of the team, known for her ability to navigate complex situations with grace and a genuine understanding of human needs.
Above all else, Dana's children were the most important aspect of her life. As a devout mother to Cole E. Moody, Kenzie Jackson, and Carly Jackson, she poured every ounce of her being into their upbringing. Her children were the sun around which her world revolved, and every decision, every sacrifice, every joyful moment was dedicated to their growth and happiness. Dana found immense satisfaction in the simple act of being with her children, whether it was through shared hobbies or just being present in their lives. Her love was a constant, comforting presence, a foundation upon which they could build their own lives.
Beyond her role as a mother, Dana cultivated a rich inner world filled with hobbies that brought her joy and allowed her creativity to flourish. She found solace and expression in baking, creating delicious treats that were often shared with loved ones, a symbol of her nurturing spirit. Crafting was another passion, allowing her to transform raw materials into beautiful objects, much like she helped shape the lives around her. Most importantly, she dedicated herself to creating memories with her family – moments that, though seemingly small, would become the cherished heirlooms of their shared history.
Dana's capacity for love extended beyond her immediate family. She had a special affinity for animals, recognizing the pure and unconditional love they offered. Her heart also held a tender spot for babies, seeing in them the innocence and hope of new beginnings. These affections were merely facets of her broader character: a woman of great strength and profound compassion. She possessed a rare ability to light up a room with her smile, a radiant warmth that drew people to her. Even in challenging times, Dana made a conscious effort to see the best in people, extending grace and understanding rather than judgment. This unwavering optimism and belief in humanity were hallmarks of her beautiful spirit.
She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forward: her children, Cole, Kenzie, and Carly; her devoted parents, David and Sarah (Belsky) Shafer; her siblings, Michelle Neves, Tim Shafer, and Justin Shafer; and a wide circle of aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Pat Shafer, Patsy Peterson, Judy Wells, Rick Shafer, and Steve Shafer, all of whom were touched by her kindness and unwavering support. Dana's unexpected departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but the profound impact of her love, her strength, and her compassionate heart will forever resonate in the lives of those she touched. She will be remembered not only for the life she lived, but for the beautiful way she lived it.
