Demerice Ann Burns

Demerice Ann Burns, age 80, of Justin, Texas passed quietly in her home, on Sunday, March 12, 2023. Demerice (Dee) was born on January 3, 1943 in Clifton, Texas. She was the daughter of Johnie and Mary Ruth Watson, who raised Dee in Turnersville, Texas. Dee and her husband Randall Burns celebrated their fifty-first wedding anniversary December 21, 2022. Dee was great cook, a hard worker, and the central figure in their blended family. She and Randall built several businesses and raised their family in Colleyville, Texas and later moved to Justin Texas. Demerice is preceded in death by her parents, Johnie and Mary Ruth Watson; her brother, Harold Watson; and her granddaughter, Kathryn Demerice Burns. She is survived by her husband, Randall; her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Darlene Watson of Justin; her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Kim Scott of Carrollton; her daughter Paula Mace of Mobile Alabama; her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Dianna Burns of Euless; her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Tammy Burns of Azle; her daughter, Michelle Grantz of Palestine; and her daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Chad Wolf of Justin. Dee had twelve grandkids and eleven great grandkids. Dee was a committed and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

A visitation for Demerice will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Keller's Old Town Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 220 Keller Parkway, Keller, TX 76248. Celebration of Life to follow at 10:00 AM. Graveside: 3:30 PM Thursday at Turnersville Cemetery, 8060 Hwy 182, Turnersville, TX.
