Derek Wade Sanders

Derek Wade Sanders went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 16, 2020. He was born in Bedford, Texas on June 7, 1991 to Jason and Marcie Sanders of Keller, Texas. Derek began his Christian walk at the Keller Church of Christ and was baptized in the summer of 2008.

Derek graduated from Keller High School in 2009 and went on to attend Oklahoma Christian University. He lived in Dallas, Texas and worked as an account manager for Pepsi Corporation in Plano, Texas.

Derek was the light of the lives of many family and friends, especially his parents. He was easy going with an infectious laugh and a smile that would light up any room. Traveling and spending time with friends and family were his favorite things to do. He had a kind, loving and generous spirit and will be sorely missed but we are certain that we will be together again one day in Heaven.

Derek is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Duane Sanders and is survived by his parents, Jason and Marcie Sanders, his paternal grandmother, Sherry Sanders, maternal grandparents, James and Nancy Baker, aunt, Amy Baker, aunts and uncles, Debbie and Chris Key, Erica Rodriquez and Troy Sanders, cousins, Jordan Hyatt, Sophia Sanders, Brandon and Josie Key and their son, Cooper.

There will be a private memorial service and burial at Westlake Cemetery in Westlake, Texas.
