Edna was always a precious kind-hearted person. I have known her since I was a small child showing sheep with her kids. She will be missed always and we pray your family heals during this time of loss.

Oh Marcie I am so so sorry for the loss of your mom! I know she was your best friend. On the few occasions I met her, she was such a loving and kind person and I felt instantly accepted by her. Your statement in the obituary " She showed kindness, acceptance and respect for all - regardless of their station or position in life" rings so true. I will say prayers for you. Now she will be helping your dad drop those pennies from Heaven.

Edna was always around when the youth fair was in full swing. I remember her being so kind and helpful to each kid that had something to turn in, wrangle, brush, wash, bake, or sew. I am so glad she was there just to be a friendly face and to set things right. She certainly was a blessing to everyone who knew her. I know she will be missed.

There will never be another like her. She was definitely one of a kind! She was always smiling, always laughing and always giving out hugs. I received some of the best hugs ever from her recently. She will be greatly missed.

We met H.S. and Edna almost as soon as we moved to Decatur. We were neighbors, Monty, for awhile if you remember. I always loved your mom with her beautiful smile and good hugs. Our hearts go out to all of you.
