Edna F. Smith, 76, of Southlake, Texas, a loving mother and friend, gained her heavenly wings on July 2, 2020. Edna was born in Chicago, Illinois later moving to Decatur, Georgia where she was a long time resident.
Edna graduated in 1961 from Decatur High School in Georgia. She was a member of Eastern Star. She held various administrative positions in banking and home mortgage. She was also a bookkeeper for a wholesale and building supply company and an apartment complex.
Enda loved to love on people and she made friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed fishing, camping, writing poetry, attending church, adult coloring books and arts & crafts. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lora Baronet-Diehl and husband Kevin, Fort Worth, TX; sons, Richard McCallar II, Richmond Hill, GA, and Lucas McCallar, Palm Bay, FL; grandchildren, Kyle Baronet and Benjamin McCallar; nieces, Christie Barnett; nephews, Robert Lokey (Melanie) and Travis Lokey (Betty) along with cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Lucas Hodges and Edna Geiger Hodges and her sister, Avis Hodges.
Family will hold a private viewing, Friday, July 10, 2020. Please join the family in celebrating her life at 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Keller's Old Town Funeral Chapel, 220 Keller Parkway, Keller, Texas 76248. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made in Edna's honor or memory to American Kidney Fund or American Diabetes Association.
