Fay Ella Allen

Fay Ella Allen, 88, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on November 10, 2025. Born in Chicota, Texas, she was one of eleven children raised by Cliff and Mary Vanderburg. Fay graduated as salutatorian of Chicota High School and loved singing in the church choir. She married Thomas Allen, her devoted husband of 68 years, and together they raised two children, Mark and Raquel, in a home filled with love.

Fay worked 30 years at Southwestern Bell with perfect attendance, a testament to her dedication. She was known for her gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. Her greatest joy in later years was her granddaughter Sydney and great-grandsons Brooks and Luke, who brought light to her life.

She is survived by her husband Thomas; children Mark (Trasey) and Raquel (Lonnie Nicholson); granddaughter Sydney (Branden Katona); great-grandsons Brooks and Luke; and siblings Sidney, Jimmy, Valerie, Merle, Carolyn, and Lynette; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Dale, Donald, Bryce, and Mary Clifford.

Fay leaves a legacy of love, grace, and kindness—a life well lived and deeply cherished.
