Gabriel Alexander Pereira, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on November 29th, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. He will always be remembered as a kind, loving friend, brother, colleague, and son to all who knew and loved him. He was born on March 27th, 2007, in Roanoke, Texas, to Mandi and Alex. Gabriel brought a tremendous amount of joy to his parents, siblings, relatives, and friends.
Gabriel was a talented and brilliant young man with a strong and self-motivated work ethic. After graduating from Timbercreek High School in May of 2025, he attended Tarrant County Community College, holding a 4.0 GPA, and aimed to transfer to Lamar University, where he hoped to obtain a B.S. in Computer Science with a concentration in Game Development. He worked at Red-Door Escape Room until recently, when he discovered a new passion and began working part-time at Wise Academy teaching kids block programming to build robots with Legos. He was enthusiastic to learn as he entered a new chapter of his life.
Gabriel was always curious, independent, brilliant, and self-motivated. He often taught himself how to do many things and never gave up until he mastered a skill. He learned how to solve a Rubik’s Cube in under two minutes by the age of seven. He would spend hours with his brother Alex learning and practicing skateboarding tricks until he perfected them. By the age of ten, he had taught himself to play chess so well that he could beat his Papa, who was the champion chess player in the family.
With the help of his dad, he started programming at fourteen and built his first parkour computer game at seventeen, a feat his high school teacher said he was the first to accomplish after so many before him had tried and failed. He loved gaming and creating new worlds for others to enjoy, including the Minecraft world he built with his brother Parker.
One of his most remarkable accomplishments came when he picked up his mom’s old Casio keyboard at the age of twelve and taught himself to play the piano by watching online videos. He later asked if he could have a piano for Christmas. His mom surprised him with piano lessons during his senior year so he could elevate his music abilities and learn to read music. He accepted the challenge with a smile, practiced diligently, and succeeded with great passion. He filled the air with beautiful sounds of joy whenever his hands touched the piano. When Gabriel set his sights on something, he followed through with exceptional spirit and determination.
Gabriel is survived by his mother and father, Amanda and Alex; his brothers, Parker and Alex; his grandparents, Debbie “Meemaw,” Silvia “Lita,” and Stacy “Nana”; his Aunt Sandy “Sissy”; his uncles, Elmer and Oliver Pereira; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and close friends who loved him dearly.
The visitation will be held from 5–6 o’clock p.m. on Friday, December 5th, 2025, at the Alliance Community Fellowship Church. The funeral service will be held at 6 p.m., following the visitation at the church. His favorite colors were blue and orange. Interment will take place at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park on a future date to be determined.
