He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford L. Rowe; his mother, Johnnie A. Rowe; his brother, Jimmy L. Rowe; his niece, Sandra Jensen Rowe; and his wife, Rachel Escobar Rowe.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Landon Rowe; his brother, Clifford Allen Rowe, and his wife, Shirley; his nieces, Liana Rowe McKinstrey and Shirl Rowe Wells; and his great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is also survived by Carol’s children, whom he loved as family: Donna Clark and her husband, Dan; Jeff Landon and his wife, Carlissa; and Mark Landon and his wife, Joanna — along with six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, who will carry his memory forward as ‘Cool Jerry.’
Jerry was a humble, gentle, kind man with a quiet spirit — the kind of man whose words carried weight. If Jerry spoke, you wanted to listen to what he had to say. His faith and his years in the church were a quiet, steady part of his life, and those who knew him there will share their own memories of him during the service.
He was also a true patriot, who loved his country deeply and kept it, its president, and its leaders in his prayers.
Jerry, you will be greatly missed by all who knew you and loved you.
“Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.”
Ephesians 4:2–3
