I vaguely remember Jimmy as we were only four years apart. Ray would bring Jimmy over sometimes. I am from Oklahoma City and knew Ray Copeland very well. He and my dad, Melvin Rodgers, we're best of friends and coworkers together for very many years. At that time, Ray was my dad's best friend. Ray was always over at the the house whether it be drinking coffee, playing cards, telling jokes, at the shop working on engines, racing cars at Taft stadium or at the fairgrounds racing. They were always up to something, be it ornery, no good or just having a blast together. Those were some of the best memories of my life.
