

John Allan Standridge, age 67, a resident of Haslet, Texas, peacefully passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Born in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, John lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service.
John is survived by his devoted wife, Sherri, with whom he shared 41 years of a beautiful and enduring marriage. His legacy is further enriched by his six children, Brandon, Benjamin, Leslie, Christopher, Chloe, and Heather, who will forever cherish the lessons, values, and love he imparted on them. Additionally, John leaves six beloved grandchildren whose lives he touched with warmth and wisdom.
A proud veteran, John served his country with honor as a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1973 to 1979. Following his military service, he dedicated 30 years to I.B.M., where he contributed significantly to the organization.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a visitation for John on Monday, January 8, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Keller's Old Town Funeral Home, located at 220 Keller Pkwy, Keller, TX. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:30 PM, where memories will be shared and the impact of John's life celebrated.
A Committal Service, with Marine honors, is scheduled for Tuesday, January 9, 2024, 10:00 AM at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX. (Lane 1) This final farewell will honor John's service to his country and allow family, friends, and fellow Marines to bid him a respectful farewell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Semper Fi Fund (https://thefund.org/donate/) in John's memory. His legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
