

Born Judith Kathryn Stuckman in Norfolk, Virginia, March 4, 1943, she and her family moved to Illinois, then to Indianapolis, IN where she attended Shortridge High School. Judy attended college at Butler University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. While at Butler she met her husband, William Grosbach. Judy taught third and fourth grade in both Indiana and Virginia until her daughter, Deborah, was born in 1970.
Judy was a bright light in the world, going out of her way to bring joy to others and finding wonder in the smallest things. She enjoyed reading, singing, gardening, travel and crafting. Throughout her life she engaged in a variety of volunteer activities. As a lifelong member of the Methodist church, she was widely known as a gifted bible study teacher and storyteller.
Judy is survived by her husband of 60 years, William Grosbach, her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Jeffrey Gates, her granddaughters Megan Wenstrup (Jacob), Kacy Gates and Tierney Gates, and her great grandson, Wesley Wenstrup, as well as her nieces - Valerie Wilson (Bruce, Michael, Sarah) and Elizabeth Dorsey.
Judy was proceed in death by her Mother and Father - Clifton and Della Mae Stuckman, and her sister, Barbara Dorsey (Emmett).
