Judy Smith passed away peacefully on January 15th in Flower Mound, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and friend to all who knew and loved her. She was born on June 11th, 1947, in Waco Texas to Raymond and Marie Deaver. Judy is survived by her devoted husband, Frank Patrick, her three children, Elizabeth, Michael, and Audrey, and her grandchildren, Mathew, Zachary, Ava, Mark, and Alex, as well as her brother Ray. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Madeline.
Judy was the type of person who never met a stranger. She was at ease talking to just about anyone, which is why she made such an excellent and well-loved 8th grade science school teacher. To say that she was a social individual is an understatement. She lived for her social groups, including dinner club, Pokeno and golf. One of her greatest accomplishments was getting not one, but two hole-in-ones! She was a huge fan of travel, and had the opportunity to see much of this beautiful world. Rounding out her favorite things would be watching Hallmark movies, (especially around Christmas time), rescuing animals, and family gatherings.
We welcome you to a celebration of her life from 1-3pm on Monday, January 19th at Keller’s Old Town Funeral Home at 220 Keller Pkwy, Keller, Texas. This will be a come and go event where we will reminisce of the wonderful and happy times we shared with her. We are encouraging guests come up to the podium to share any funny or heart warming stories and express the ways Judy has touched our lives.
