Ty, Kathy, Sage, Kyla

I met Keegan and his wonderful family when he was a very young kid. I had the honor to give him Drum lessons until he moved to go to college. Keegan was a very gifted Musician and I was very proud of him.  One of my finest students over the years. I have too many great memories while we were in lessons together. 
 Rest in peace my little brother. You will never be forgotten...

We will all miss our special nephew and cousin and are so sad about his passing. Our family holiday gatherings will surely miss his company, humor, beautiful smile and laughter. His varied interests including his love of music and art were a welcome change of pace for his sports-minded cousins. We all had so much fun learning about the latest indie bands, listening to him play the drums and enjoying him share his artwork with us.

We understand how much joy Keegan brought to the whole family.  Ty, Kathi, Sage, Kyla: We hope that the memories of the fun that you all had together will bring you comfort and strength in the days ahead. We love you.

Keegan has such a sweet personality and soul, along with his family, and he will live on as a light through eternity.  We are so sorry for your loss.  Much love to you all! 

Our hearts are broken over the passing of Keegan.  While distance prevented us from enjoying the pleasure of his many talents and humor, it is clear the world has lost a light that brought joy to all that knew him.  Our deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with the entire Palmatary family. 

Joe and I were heartbroken to hear of Keegan’s passing. He was an awesome personality, who brought smiles to the faces of everyone he came in contact with. On our trip to Ireland, I especially remember the one time that Keegan was determined to get tickets to a show in London and he and Denver were crawling on the floor of the restaurant, to be sure they were the first ones to get in the list Sean was making as it was a first come, first serve situation. They slithered like snakes along the floor and had us all laughing so hard our bellies hurt. That was one of my all time favorite trips and it had a lot to do with you, Kathi, and Keegan being a part of it. Our hearts go out to you all. 💜

Keegan and I were friends in high school, we spent a lot of time together at Bear Creek Park and at Denver's house. I remember one time Keegan and I drove around for hours in that minivan getting icecream and trying to get close enough to the DFW airport to watch planes take off (which apparently you cannot). He was a really sweet person and was very goofy. He was always able to make people laugh. I found this photo awhile back and feel like it definitely represents the ridiculously goofy high school Keegan that I remember. Rest in peace, Keegan. 

I met you in geology class at TCC. You sat right behind me and for two weeks we didn’t say a word to each other. One day I turned around and we started chatting, to my surprise you handed me a notebook with a drawing on it. After I looked a little closer, I realized it was a drawing of me, from your point of view. Nothing crazy, just the back of my head and my fuzzy sweater. We laughed about it and from then on you let me into your interesting world. You thought in such a complex way, and saw things in people that not many could see. I’ll never forget the time you drove me home and I couldn’t figure out how to get into my gate. You didn’t want me to be stuck outside at night alone, so you sat there with me in your car and showed me new music while we danced along and laughed about how the night ended up until someone opened the gate. I only knew you for a short bit of time, but I won’t ever forget you. How lucky are Lenna and I that we ended up in a class with you. 

In 2011 I was fortunate enough to Travel with Keegan to Ireland, England, and Wales. His photo is the first I took on the trip and his presence is part of what made it my favorite. I remember racing with them to reach the top of a castle, exploring new cities, and laughing to the point of tears. Trips like that have a way of creating a shared bond and although over the years since I have not known the fullest extent of who Keegan grew to be,  I feel the loss of his bright presence. He blessed my life in that short and fantastic experience and when I think of him I feel so fortunate to have known him.

Our hearts are broken for the loss of Keegan.  We love him so much.  He was a member of our family, as much as anyone could ever be.  I remember how he loved eating spaghetti dinners with us, and how he loved cold watermelon in the summer time. His favorite mug in my cabinet was this blue one, and we all left it alone for him. He knew how special he was to us when we told him to stop ringing that damn door bell.  He was always there to lend a hand, share a good laugh, and celebrate any occasion with us.  We were so blessed by him.  Thank you for sharing your son with us.  He made all the difference  in  our lives.  May God hold our hearts together  in his hands.  Surely heaven is blessed now.
