Leo was born in Acapulco, Guerrero, MX on December 18, 1968 to Cristine Cejas de Lagunes and Leonel Lagunes Tejeda. Leo graduated from La Salle High School and earned a BS in Computer Science from Universidad de Negocios ISEC in Mexico City. He moved to the United States in 1996, working as a Systems Engineer. Leo met his future wife, Kristen L. Miller at work in 1998. Leo and Kristen were married at Las Brisis, in Acapulco, MX, September 1, 2001. Leo became a devoted dad to one daughter, Kenzie Mariana Lagunes on December 9, 2008. Kenzie was his heart and soul, referring to her as his “favorite Disney Princess”. Leo was diagnosed with colon cancer August 2, 2019. He faced his journey with positive hope and strength for almost 6 years. Special blessings and thanks to Dr. Ravi Patel and the wonderful, compassionate team at Texas Oncology, Grapevine. Leo has joined his Mother, Father, Father-in-Law, Sister and dear nephew in Heaven. Leo is survived by his loving wife, Kristen of 24 years, precious daughter Kenzie, who his is so proud of. Additionally, Leo has one surviving sister, seven nieces, Aruba, Isabella, Mandy, Avery, Bailey, Meadow, Mia and one nephew , Christian. He leaves behind many cousins and dear friends.
