Lora Faye Engman

Lora Faye Engman, of Bowie, Texas passed away on June 25, 2025 in Bowie, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, friend, and colleague to all that knew and loved her. She was born on May 26, 1945 in Beaumont, Texas to George Julian Talbert and Mary Talbert. Lora worked as a teacher in the HEB school district for 27 years, as well as a pre-GED program at the John R. Lindsey state jail in Jacksboro, Texas. Upon retirement she lived a quiet life, traveling when she could, spending time with her grandchildren, and adopting animals to care for. Lora is survived by her daughter Jennifer White and husband Jay White of Fort Worth, Texas, her grandchildren Devin Northrup, Jonathan Northrup, Richard White, and Ashley White of Fort Worth, Texas. Lora was preceded in death by her parents George and Mary Talbert, her brother George and his wife Georgette Talbert, her sister Joan Talbert, her sister Betty Collier and husband Frank Collier, her son John Engman Jr., her son George Engman, and her grandson Justin May. No funeral services will be made at this time. In lieu of flowers or cards consider donating to your local animal shelter in Lora’s name.
