As an adventurous, independent woman, Terry left Rahway, NJ after high school to pursue her dream of ice skating at various ski resorts. It was at Sun Valley Ski Resort in Idaho that Terry met her husband Jim. The two traveled the world as Jim pursued his career as a U.S Air Force officer.
Terry was known for her infectious smile and pretty blue eyes. She loved to play jokes, had a great sense of humor, enjoyed her piva, and was always the life of the party. Also known as a wonderful cook, she always provided a sit down meal for her four children as they grew up. Terry was involved in all school activities and became a school nurse for twenty years. After retirement, Terry used her passion for antiques to open multiple booths at various shops which enabled her to travel, visit with people and find stray animals along the way.
Her passions included travel, meeting people, rescuing animals, and bargaining for antiques. It is no surprise that all four of her children love these same things.
Terry will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James (Jim) Gidley of Ft Worth, TX; sons, David Gidley of Silver Plume, CO, Scott Gidley and his wife Shannon (Cerneka) Gidley of Abilene, TX; daughter, Kim Gidley of Colorado Springs, CO; granddaughter, Breanna Gidley of Ft Worth, TX; grandson, Lane Cagle of Silver Plume, CO; brother and sister in-law, Ted and Dory Garrish of Annapolis, MD; cousins, Donald Friga and Ann Marie Biche and nephew, Mike Cherevko from the New Jersey area and numerous other beloved relatives in New Jersey and the New York area.
