Marie E Oravetz, age 95, of Keller, Texas formally of Land O’ Lakes, Florida and Milford Connecticut, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025. Marie was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on June 7, 1930, to the late Alfred and Ellen Lingham. Marie worked as the hostess at the Holiday Inn in Milford, Connecticut for many years. Then, when moving to Land O’ Lakes, Florida, she worked as an Insurance Agent. She was a member of Stephen Ministries and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Marie was always up for a game of cribbage and enjoyed her game shows.
Survivors include her sons, Steven Matyasovsky of Milford, Connecticut, Richard Matyasovsky (Julie) of Keller, Texas, her daughter Karen Poritz (Jeff) of Florida, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband Robert Oravetz, sons Michael Matyasovsky (Diane), Donald Matyasovsky, and brother Alfred Lingham (Magrit).
Marie is a U.S. Army veteran, and will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Florida Memorial Cemetery.
