Marjorie Louise Miller, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. She will always be remembered as a strong, independent, and loving mother by all who knew and loved her.
She was born on July 11, 1930, in Idabelle, Oklahoma, to Artie and Arthur (Art) Nally, Sr. She was lovingly called “Louise” by her friends, as she disliked her first name, Marjorie.
Louise was a devoted mother to more than 35 foster children, in addition to her own. She was married to Harold L. (Bud) Miller for over 49 years. They loved each other so completely that there was always a hug being offered to anyone and everyone.
Louise dearly loved her grandson, Richard Selfa, Jr. Mom was always knitting or crocheting something for someone. The house was filled with doilies she made, and she created many warm quilts and countless afghans. She also embroidered pillowcases, towels, and anything else she could find that would take stitching.
She was known for being stubborn and hardheaded, but when she loved you, she loved you deeply. Her kindness will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Kathryn (Kathee) Wannamaker of Aledo, Texas; her “son,” Phillip Lewis of Aledo, Texas; and her grandson, Richard Selfa, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Miller; her mother, Artie Nally; her father, Arthur Nally, Sr.; her brother, Orval Dalec Nally; and her brother, Arthur Nally, Jr.
