Marvi Dean Moore
Marvi Dean Moore passed away on August 23rd, 2022 with the help of God.
Marvi was born to Alfred and Mellie Moore on November 10th, 1939 in Georgetown County, South Carolina. He attended school at Clemson University where he was a distinguished military graduate, a Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, a member of the Pershing Rifles drill team, and commissioned in the Regular Army. He graduated from Clemson in 1962 with a bachelors in food science, and in 1964 with a masters degree. Marvi went on to attend school at the University of Maryland where he obtained a Ph.D in food science.
Marvi met the love of his life, Marie Beard, and spent 60 years happily married. Marvi and Marie share three children together, Darrin, Deanne, and Debra. Captain Moore served in the United States Army. Marvi served in Vietnam, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He had a long career in the food business with Frito Lay and Griffith Foods.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
Marvi is survived by his wife, Marie Moore, Son, Darrin Moore (Becki), Daughters, Deanne Moore (James) and Debra Moore (Ted), Grandchildren, Ashton Shawver, Averi Shawver, Skyler Bonneau, Berkeley Bonneau, Reese Bonneau, Robert Moore, Jordan Wilson, Reece Wilson, Faith Qualls, and Ashlyn Hinds, Sister, Catherine, and Brother, Earl.
Marvi was loved by his family and many friends. He will be dearly missed.
Marvi's celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 17th, 2022 at Highland Country Fellowship - 8202 Boedeker, Dallas TX 75225 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
