Mike was born December 19, 1974 in Klamath Falls, Oregon to James and Arlene Langer, joining the family as a younger brother to Becky, his sister.
Mike was always a good student and loved to talk earning him the nickname Gabby. He graduated from Henley High School in 1993 and Oregon State University in 1997. Mike received a Masters Degree from Clemson in 2000.
Mike was active in Sports all through school playing Goalie for his High School Soccer team. He was a 4-H member raising sheep and pigs from the age of Eight until graduation. Money earned from the sale of the animals was used to help pay for college.
Mike went to work for Franklin Electric in 2000 soon after graduating from Clemson University. He spent two years in Mexico before moving to Brazil in 2011 as President of Franklin Electric Motobombas Brazil. Mike moved to Italy in 2019 to become EMENA Business Unit President of Franklin Electric but soon returned to Indiana Corporate headquarters in 2020 as Vice President Global Management. He became fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and developing proficiency in Italian because of his positions. Mike loved his Franklin Electric job and all of the people he worked with. They were his family, he dearly loved and respected all of them. Mike was proud of the friendships he developed thru the years. He traveled the world enjoying every country he visited.
Mike developed a love of horse racing at an early age when he and his father would attend the horse races that came to the fairgrounds every summer. Horse racing became his hobby throughout life. He loved attending all the big races around the country. He had a special circle of horse racing buddies that were always up for some racing. He enjoyed their friendships and camaraderie.

This Earth has lost an extraordinary man with a great mind but Heaven has gained a beautiful soul. We celebrate Mike's life and his accomplishments. He lived every moment with love and adventure.
A celebration of life for Michael will be held Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 2:00 PM, with a reception to follow, at Keller's Old Town Funeral Home, 220 Keller Pkwy, Keller, Tx.
