Michael Scott Templeton

Scotty Templeton, a beloved man and vibrant soul, passed away May 8, 2024 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Scotty was born December 31, 1972 in Fort Worth, Texas to Royce Templeton and Linda Carbone.
Scotty’s youth was marked by an early commitment to service and participation in youth groups and summer camps. He did an amazing job supporting an outreach program in Haltom City and demonstrated his enduring dedication and support for kids.
In 1996 after much training Scotty received his black belt which launched his love and desire to lead others in martial arts. He opened his first dojo and created a successful business teaching kids and teens. Scotty was respected and admired by so many. His passion for martial arts led to DVD’s, magazines, interviews and much more. Throughout the years he progressively grew to a fifth degree black belt, worked with Torque, UFC fighters and as VP for Europa Games and USA Fit Games Expos. As a successful entrepreneur, Scotty was a dedicated and tough man with a truly kind and gentle soul.
Scotty’s person life was blessed with his daughter, Tricia Lynn; wife, Wendy; and granddaughter, Alana Fay that loved her Papa T. He also had many close family and friends throughout his entire life.
Scotty was able to find much peace and solace while fishing and canoeing on Kentucky Lake. That was his peaceful home-away-from-home. His love for reading a wide variety of books and dedicated to the bible, provided him much knowledge, joy and comfort.
Scotty’s unique spirit and heartfelt kindness made him truly one of a kind. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will be cherished by those who were blessed to know him.
Scotty’s family and friends take comfort in knowing that his faith has brought him to his eternal home with the Lord. He is celebrating in heaven with all his loved one’s gone before him. Scotty’s light will forever shine in the lives he touched. One day we will be greeted by him in heaven and happily spend eternity together.
Scotty’s family left to cherish his memories: mom, Linda Carbone; wife, Wendy Templeton; daughter, Tricia Templeton and husband Matthew Stacy; granddaughter, Alana Stacy; step-son, Lakyn Dickerson; sister, Angie Slokovic and husband Lorens Slokovic; niece, Alexa Neal; nephew, Ryan Neal; niece, Danika Harris and husband Chance Harris; great-niece Blair Harris; Step-mom, Marilyn Templeton; stepsister, Malissa Pruitt; stepsister, Laura Higgins and husband Jason Higgins; and so many more loving family and friends.
Scotty is preceded in death by his father, Royce Templeton.

A visitation for Scotty will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Keller's Old Town Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 220 Keller Parkway, Keller, TX 76248, followed by a Funeral Service from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, concluding with a Friends and Family Gathering from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
