Nancy Marlene Dudney

Nancy Marlene Dudney was born to Walter and Louise Gerrick in Akron, IN on July 21st, 1934. She was the valedictorian at Jackson High School in Georgia in 1952. She graduated from the Georgia Baptist Nursing Hospital in 1955. She married Fred Dudney, Jr and had three children.

Nancy is survived by her brother, Stan Gerrick (Ann), her sons, Fred Dudney III (Charlotte) and David Dudney (Amy) and her daughter, Diane Dudney. Nancy has five grandchildren, Laura Dechert, Emily Cartin , Alicia Giminaro, Mark Dudney and Daniel Dudney. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, William Dechert, Heath Dechert, John Dechert, Jensen Cartin, Leo Cartin, Madelyn Dudney, Jordan Dudney, Aria Dudney and Maya Dudney.

As a military family member, Nancy lived in many places, including Taiwan, Michigan, California and Florida. She attended the Manhattan Church of Christ in Tampa, Florida for many years, where she served as the church secretary. She also attended the Henderson Church of Christ.

Nancy was passionate about art, music and fitness. She was a member of the Officers’ WivesClub at MacDill AFB. She loved to travel, and enjoyed taking many cruises. She deeply loved her three children, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Nancy moved to Colleyville, TX in 2025 after 50 years in Tampa, Florida. Nancy went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2026.

A Committal Service will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery, E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610, US, on July 25, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.
