Nancy H. Irving

August 6, 1945 – September 17, 2026

Haslet, Texas – Nancy Irving, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully set sail on her next voyage on September 17, 2026 at the age of 81. Born August 6, 1945 in Floyd, Virginia, as Nancy Mae Harman, she was the daughter of Ezess and Dorothy Harman. She was married for 48 years to her husband and best friend, Kent N. Irving. Their love started when they met through the ForeRunners singles club in Treasure Island, Fl in 1976 and grew stronger until they married in 1978.

Nancy graduated high school in 1963 from Floyd County High School and went on to become a nurse at Pulaski Hospital School of Nursing in 1965.

Nancy lived her life helping others. First by caring for her grandmother, then going on to become a nurse for 35 years. That not being enough, she then became an esthetician and quickly rose to teach skin care to hundreds of students until her retirement. She loved traveling, sailing, and camping to get away and relax. Except for a few times while racing sailboats for a woman who didn’t swim well, it was far from relaxing for her. But she was a true trooper with a lot of guts who gave it her all. Especially when it came to giving an open heart to her family, friends, and everyone she met. She had a smile that would brighten even the darkest room.

Nancy was preceded in passing by her cherished son, Kent Irving Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Kent, and children Krysta and her husband, Mark Coffey. She was also a loving grandmother to Lauren Coffey and great-grandmother to Jace Coffey, who were the light of her life. She also leaves behind her brothers, Ben Harmon and his family, and Gordon Harman, his wife Mary, and their extended family.

Nancy wishes not to have any services other than close family. She has chosen to be cremated and her ashes spread in Tahiti along with her husband’s once he passes.

She was a true angel that provided so much care and love to thousands over her short time on this beautiful planet she loved so much.
